What is DoxyPEP?
Doxycycline PEP involves taking a short course of Doxycycline soon after unprotected sex (within 24–72 hours). Clinical research and BASHH guidance indicate that this approach can help prevent certain bacterial STIs.
It is not a replacement for condoms and does not protect against HIV or viral infections — it is an additional option for people at higher risk of bacterial STIs.
